Private Names GameLink Founder Ilan Bunimovitz as Its New CEO

BARCELONA —Ilan Bunimovitz, who founded GameLink and later became a Private Media Group vice president, has been named CEO of Private.

Barcelona-based Private acquired San Francisco-based GameLink earlier this year and formed a new unit, Private Online Media, which focuses on the U.S. and E.U. markets. Bunimovitz held the title of executive vice president of the division.

“I am delighted to be taking up the challenge of leading Private," Bunimovitz said. "My background from the constantly evolving online business fits comfortably with managing the company’s continuing transition to new media and I am very excited about further developing Private’s leading position across all distribution platforms.”

Bunimovitz replaces Berth Milton in the CEO position. Milton remains President and Chairman of the Board.

“We are delighted with the appointment of Ilan as CEO," Milton said. "Ilan is one of the great pioneers of adult entertainment online and his track record speaks for itself. Over the past two years, Private has been significantly changing its business model and adapting its products for new media. The acquisition of GameLink in January has accelerated this change and incorporated major online retail assets and digital expertise into Private.

"With Ilan, a leading authority on new media adult content management and distribution, I am confident that Private will complete its transition to new media by successfully melding high class international adult content with cutting edge digital commercialization via online, wireless and broadcast. I welcome Ilan to Private and wish him the very best."

Private delivers adult content through a wide range of platforms including mobile telephone handsets via 85 network operators in 36 countries, IPTV via 35 platforms in 18 countries, Internet, TV, DVDs and magazines.

The company's GameLink unit delivers VOD through its GameLink.com website. The site's installed user base represents more than 1 million customers and it serves more than 10,000 users daily. It has one of the largest libraries of adult media with 60,000 video titles that streams over the Internet and on platforms such as the iPhone. It also sells sex toys and novelties on its site.
